Bethany Beach
- Best seasons
- summer, fall
- Best time
- Sunrise over the water; early morning for osprey and egrets working the marsh side of town
- Access
- Free public beach access. Parking permits may be required in season.
A quieter Delaware beach town, with dune boardwalks facing the Atlantic on one side and salt marsh on the other — the marsh side is where the osprey, herons, and egrets are, especially early and late in the day.
Sunrise over the ocean is the obvious draw, but the marsh light in the hour after is just as good for birds working the grass at low tide.
