Blue ridges and valley haze

Taken minutes after the framed shot from the same overlook, pulled back to show the full stack of ridgelines fading into haze. A pocket of ground fog was still sitting in one of the distant valleys, adding one more layer to an already layered view.

Getting the shot

Same aperture and lens as the companion shot, this time without the foreground branch — a cleaner, more classic Smokies composition that leans entirely on the depth created by haze between ridgelines.
