The Teton skyline, wall to wall

The Teton range doesn’t need much help looking dramatic, but a wide panorama does something a single frame can’t — it shows just how long and unbroken the wall of peaks really is, from Grand Teton itself down through the smaller summits on either side.

Getting the shot

Stitched from a series of overlapping frames shot in a level arc across the range, then blended for exposure across the bright cloud gaps and shaded rock. The sagebrush flat in the foreground gives the eye a sense of scale that the peaks alone can’t provide.
