Sunset over the bay marsh

The bay side of Bethany at sunset is a quieter scene than the ocean beach, all wide marsh grass and a huge, unobstructed sky. The wispy high clouds caught the last color long after the sun itself had already dipped below the far treeline.

Getting the shot

f/16 pulled a clean starburst out of the sun right at the horizon. I framed low, letting the marsh grass silhouette fill the bottom third and giving the sky room to do the rest of the work.
